Pros
Autonomous work style, if you like to get your work done and not be micro-managed, this is a good option.
Cons
Even if don't have cases, you need to be available. Have to take a week of at a time so a traveler can cover shift, this makes extremely difficult to take planned little 3 or 4 day weekends.
