Pros
Work closely with physicians and a great nursing staff. Schedule is three 12 hour shifts per week. The schedule is the only thing keeping me there.
Cons
Where do I begin...Pay is at bottom of the barrel for my profession. I am an RT and I am being forced to learn IM injections and phlebotomy well out of my scope of practice. The staffing is a joke, at some of the lower volume clinics we will have 1 physician and 1 clinical staff member to handle on average 30-40+ walk in patients in a 12 hour day. Keep in mind that one clinical member is an xray tech with about an hour long training in how to give shots and draw blood. Not an RN. (They cost too much). No lunch breaks is a common theme in any busy clinical setting so you just get used to not eating. The bottom line is its all about the bottom line with this company. Sacrificing all else including patient care to increase profits...and they drill into all staff patient satisfaction surveys scores. If you have ever worked for a company that does this it is incredibly frustrating. I would look elsewhere for employment, especially if your a rad tech.
