Pros

- There are some really awesome people that work for this company.

Cons

- They hire a lot of kids fresh from college and they're know it alls who are very hard to work with. - Several 'decision making' employees are related to the CEO and they pretty much do whatever they want. - There is no work-life balance. This company does not act as if an employee's life outside of work matters at all. - Pay is on the low scale for the area. - Morale is awful. People who have been there for years should quit and move on, they are bitter and it brings those around them down. - Re-orgs a plenty! Don't like your team? Just wait a few months and you'll have a new one. - Huge gap between upper management and everyone else. I felt like a number here, easily replaced at any time by someone who will take a lower salary.

Next IT Response
8y
Let me first apologize for the very delayed response! Thank you very much for taking the time to provide us with feedback. As we appointed a new leadership team at the beginning of 2017, we've been working very hard to break down silos and foster a collaborative and transparent communication culture; and communication continues to be one of the management's top priorities. While you seem to view both youth and experience differently, we value the balance of young, fresh talent with seasoned, experienced veterans to drive top performance as we deliver the future of human and machine interactions. The new leadership team has also worked diligently to reward top-performers and close any gaps in wages. We're excited about making Next IT the best place to work, and while you didn't find it to be that for you, we wish you the very best in your next role. Respectfully, Jen Snell VP, Next IT

Pros

In most positions you've got a lot of freedom to perform tasks however you want; management tends to be loose enough where just about everybody has quite a bit of freedom. The company solves hard problems and executives (at least recently) are open to hearing new ideas and approaches. The company has made an effort in the past year to be more open about resolving historical morale problems, which seem to be pretty well enumerated in older reviews on Glassdoor. The market Next IT works in is rapidly expanding, and because the company is so small a single person can make a significant impact. People generally seem to like each other (at least when they're working in the same department). Lax dress code, flexibility in working from home or working odd hours, tons of PTO if you stick around for 5+ years.

Cons

There are a few solid managers, but most people don't have strong leaders or mentors Lots of variability in pay/job satisfaction/career path/team cohesion across the company Lack of structure - if you're not ambitious, no one is going to push you along
