Pros
Vertically Integrated. Both constructs and manages hotels.
Cons
Nepotism. From what I understand the original owners had worked from the bottom and were a pleasure to work for, however the children of those individuals had take over in the time I worked there and they were not. Hampered managers with unnecessary forms and procedures. Managers were often there late, and six days a week. Not good at construction (literally sued over New Orleans hotel they constructed poorly and immediately sold. Hotel I worked in had hallways without functioning outlets and an awning that poured water into the entryway every time in rained. Second hotel I worked was in construction and pushed the opening date over 6 months.
