Pros
First and foremost, all employees are remote, and you're able to work your schedule around what's happening in your life. Very flexible and understanding management- And my quality of life (work/life balance) has improved immensely since starting at NGS!
Second, the clients NGS has are different than other clients I've worked with in the past. Most of the long-term clients are TRYING to improve year-over-year, which makes my assessments of their cybersecurity posture more meaningful.
Third, the benefits are great! The employee gets full benefits paid for by the company, and 50% is paid for any additional family members. Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance are all available.
Fourth, co-workers are awesome! I have genuine friendships with everyone I have had a chance to converse with at NGS! Everyone is competent in their position, and the multi-position experience overlap is great so we can all put our heads together if a challenge comes up! It's really cool!
Lastly, the opportunities to continue learning, go to industry conferences, and use skills I've attained outside of just my cybersecurity experience are all given to those who want to participate! I had the opportunity to attend DEFCON for the first time, and it was all paid for by NGS! Super cool!
Overall, the company seems like an amazing place to grow your career if you have the chance to join!
