Pros

Was able to get exposure across many different departments. Worked directly with marketing director, and CEO was extremely hands on. Great work culture

Cons

Wasn't able to offer me full time employment at the end of summer because of the smaller size but other than that I have nothing bad to say. My experience at NEST was unbelievable

Pros

The company was founded on great ideals with great products. The founder, Laura Slatkin, clearly loves and believes in the brand, and her passion catches on with many of the old guard and the new. It is also located in a great Midtown area.

Cons

People are underpaid and overworked, and to hire actual quality employees (i.e. to be willing to pay for them) had been like pulling teeth. Many under-performing individuals were let go, which is good. Many high-performing individuals were driven away, which is bad. I watched great talent walk away because of one or two highly toxic executives who are still there. The former COO and an original employee has walked. A valued longtime finance executive, also. Strong and passionate sales leaders, a very smart e-commerce leader, PR staff, arts staff... There is little care for career development and for its people, and in the past couple years the new CEO has changed the company for the worse.
