Pros
Mostly flexible schedule, although no fully remote work options. You must show up at the office a couple days a week which doesn’t really work if you have a reason for isolating to avoid COVID. Summer hours. You can leave a couple hours early every other Friday during summer. Free lunches at the office once or twice a month. They do try to have fun with the occasional staff outing or event. Clean office and nice kitchen and lunch room.
Cons
No room to move up. You will almost certainly stay in the same position you were hired for and nothing else. The only people that get promotions or shift jobs are the upper management. They’ve just keep the same wealthy, white, middle-age people around for decades even though they aren’t good for the company. High turnover of lower level employees. Poor HR privacy. Below average pay. Management and execs pretend to listen to employees concerns or suggestions, but won’t make any significant changes. Lack of leadership. Lack of organization. I’m not sure who my direct manager is right now. Too many upper managers and not enough operations staff. Ops staff are overworked and understaffed. People get pushed into taking on more and more work until they can’t keep up and either get fired or quit out of frustration while upper management doesn’t seem to do anything to help. I have seen several good employees burn out at this place due to overwork and lack of support. Lack of transparency. What goes on with upper management stays very secret.
