Good intro to sales/telemarketing, in the downtown core, 11 min walk from union station

Working at Navartis as a Recruitment Consultant was a frustrating experience for a few big reasons. The management was unprofessional—constant foul language, misogynistic comments (yes, even from a married man), and belittling made it impossible to learn or grow, especially as a newcomer. The office setup didn’t help either; it’s a small, noisy glass box with music and phone calls all around, making it hard to focus or have proper conversations with clients. On top of that, there’s no real support or tools—just “pick up the phone and call” with no clear direction, which leaves you feeling lost from day one. Almost forgot to mention, you’re required to show up to the office 15 minutes earlier than your start time on your contract to take your morning meeting. the Toronto team is falling apart, down to about four people, and turnover is ridiculously high. It’s pretty obvious they aren’t investing in keeping or helping new hires. Overall, it’s a chaotic and unsupportive environment with no real chance to succeed. This is the fault of poor management and nothing more. The lads in England were all a pleasure to speak with.

With regards to our tech stack, we believe we have some of the leading software in the recruitment industry, but we also do have an open mind to looking at other systems and software that will help our teams get the best out of their day and make their jobs more efficient. We do pride ourselves on recruiting people with little to no sales experience and developing them into successful recruitment consultants and we have a huge amount of success stories, which we are truly proud of. We feel our training and development is one of the things that sets us apart part. We also fully appreciate that it is a tough job, that requires a lot of determination, focus and dedication and due to this, some people that join find that it’s not the right role for them… which is common in recruitment.
