Pros

I used to get paid well for my job. Remote life (for now)

Cons

Where do I start... Inept leadership even after “transformation” (from these reviews doesn’t it seem like a common theme?). I’ve always been hesitant seeing reviews blaming leadership, but after seeing this company basically keep kicking the can down the road, I am certain at this point this company is completely lost. Even these new people talk about “transparency” and “burning imperatives”; it honestly seems like just smoke and mirrors and everyone knows it. Literally the least transparent organization I have ever worked for. And for a company that showcases themselves as a not for profit organization, ONLY seems to care about their revenue and how much more they can make. Sure they usually rake in forty some odd MILLION in revenue, but they felt the need to not only cut dozens of jobs (not mine thankfully), but also cut everyone’s salary during a pandemic by 15%, just enough to not collect partial unemployment. Think about that before you try joining this company, you are only a number that eventually they need to cut to save on costs. Deep rooted issues that whatever “transformation” will never cure and honestly, I think has torpedoed morale to all time lows. I was warned about these cultural issues in the beginning from other staff members, but just thought it was a lot of he said she said politics. Nope. Future Employees beware..

Pros

The most supportive place I've ever worked. From my coworkers to the management team, I am continously grateful for this positive, collaborative work environment.

Cons

I have nothing negative to say about working here. NSF is high on my list of blessings in my life.

Pros

Work is interesting, people are great except for senior leadership. Work can be monotonous but there is opportunity for some cross training which helps; middle management is great for the most part

Cons

Pay is below average for industry and there is a huge range in pay for people doing the exact same work; promotions are difficult to receive - we shouldn't have to interview for promotions. Employees should have the opportunity to be promoted just based off merit and experience; "hybrid" work model forced upon employees when jobs can be done remotely; lack of care for employees from senior leadership
