Pros

-Free coffee and cafeteria drinks -Free cake once a month to celebrate birthdays -Large holiday party with (taxed) prize give away -Management seems approachable and positive (sometimes.)

Cons

-Non competitive pay -Unequal pay between departments -Basic benefits at best. NO SICK DAYS!! (Where's the commitment to public health?) -Management plays favorites, and doesn't even try to conceal the nepotism. -No promotions within. External applicants consistently chosen. -Lab staff treated like peasants and paid very poorly. -Janitors, as well as other positions requiring only a high school diploma, compensated better than the entire lab staff with bachelor's and master's degrees. -In some cases, co-workers will do whatever it takes to climb the ranks. I've seen the same three employees get 4 people fired since November. (5 months) These three were also promoted in secrecy.

Pros

The most supportive place I've ever worked. From my coworkers to the management team, I am continously grateful for this positive, collaborative work environment.

Cons

I have nothing negative to say about working here. NSF is high on my list of blessings in my life.

Pros

Great team members. Solid mission to work towards.

Cons

Work life balance, they killed the culture and the senior leadership changes with the wind. Lack of communication across divisions. Strong preference for inclusion for onsite team; remote are left out frequently, intentionally.
