So far they seem to pay on the low end to begin with and many sites are semi-remote due to the nature of the field. In addition, while you get 12 paid holidays a year (on top of your vacation days) you rarely get them off as the oil fields are still working and they are a service business; so expect to work at least half of the major holidays if you wrk rural and get them off if your corporate.
