Cons
NOV has to constantly adapt to the WTI oil price market. During high oil prices NOV will be busy asking a lot of their management team. This includes constantly asking employees to work overtime but not allowing additional staffing. During down turn of WIT oil price NOV cut 401K matching, increased medical insurance deductible and any additional incentive to stay with NOV. Management is required to maintain a 24/7 operation without any incentive. NOV also made it mandatory for NOV-MDTotco (Subdivision of NOV) field service technicians to be "On-Call" 24/7 but only allowing 40hours a week of paid time.
