      All about the people - go to great lengths to retain good workers in recession, and to minimize layoffs during acquisitions

      Cons

      Very mom and pop culture...not very advanced or "mature" when it comes to policies, standardization, and technology.

      Very work/life balance friendly. Very strong benefits package.

      Very Siloed. NOV is the result of over 100 acquisitions and the fractured condition of systems and procedures is evident. Leadership is working on it.
