Pros

The people can be wonderful, I have managed to meet people here that I am so happy to be able to say are real world friends. There are in place many 'benefits' that make working at NKD fun - development days, time to volunteer and some away days are also good fun.

Cons

The leadership team make up a third of the company and are incredibly disjointed on a personal and a professional level. Leadership here is very much "too many cooks" style. If you are less preferred there is a much lower level of respect. Hires seem to come from a pool that the CEO has - old connections who are not always beneficial to the growth of the company. If you do not shout about your accomplishments they fly under the radar and moving up within the company is difficult as you are constantly asked to "prove yourself" rather than be recognised for your hard work and dedication. There is a cult-like mentality where NKD comes above all else, including persona life and I don't agree with this.

Pros

- Friendly and supportive colleagues with a welcoming culture. - Great office location, easy to commute to. - Hybrid working with only one day a week required in the office. - Good entry point for those early in their careers, offering exposure to a variety of tasks. - Family-like environment where people are approachable and collaborative.

Cons

- The “family and friends” culture can sometimes lead to a lack of accountability. - Project management leadership is largely homegrown, with limited external experience brought into senior roles. - The Project Manager position is a mix of coordination, PMO, and management tasks, which may not suit those seeking a pure PM role. - May not be the best environment for professionals with 3+ years of project management experience who are looking for strong leadership development and structured progression.
