NJOY has been an amazing opportunity across the board! NJOY’s culture is definitely one where everyone works hard, regardless of position within the company, but the reward has always been getting to spend that time working with inspiring people that bring their intelligence, creativity, and multiple perspectives with them, giving us the best possible chance to achieve our mission. As a smaller company, working here means getting to interact with teams and executives across the organization and learn cross-functionally. In doing so, I determined that I wanted to shift my role at NJOY, and I have been given the opportunity to try a new direction and learn from some of the best in my new field. Yes, it’s been challenging getting up to speed at times, but everyone has always been supportive and encouraging. The benefits are better than I’ve had anywhere else, and compensation has always been generous. Despite being in a complicated industry, management does what they can to create an inclusive environment, create opportunities for development, and to show that they care about their people. I would, and do, choose to work at NJOY every day, and would easily recommend it to others.

If you want a job where you do the same thing day in and day out, don’t have to think too hard, never have a deadline, and can just coast through your days, then NJOY is not going to be a great fit for you. And if NJOY isn’t a great fit for you, it’s going to be fairly obvious. Everyone here works hard, thinks hard, and gives their jobs their all.
