Pros

Diverse and Inclusive culture. Colleagues are very collaborative and supportive, and professional at the same time. Many will become your best friends. Brand loyalty is a must. Processes are transparent and most leadership is very open and transparent about company's strategy and decision making. Data driven decision making is emphasized.

Cons

HR policies lack transparency at higher levels. Rules of transparent hiring apply only to analyst and manager level, and do not apply to Sr. Director and above level. Internal promotion is extremely difficult. You have to basically apply and interview, just as an external candidate. You cannot contact the hiring manager about the role if you work with him/her/they directly on everyday basis. After you apply, HR and recruiters won't reply for months and won't reply at all. No respect for internal candidates or experience by HR, hence moving up the ladder is extremely difficult. If you know someone higher up, you can become a Sr. Director or VP directly from being an analyst or manager with little experience, you don't need to interview or apply. Low turnover up to Manager level. Extremely high turnover above Director level, resulting into continuous strategy changes.

Pros

Working at Nike was a great experience overall. The company culture is energetic, inclusive, and team-oriented. Management encourages employees to embody the Nike brand and provides opportunities for growth within retail and corporate roles. Employee discounts are excellent and make it easy to enjoy the products you sell. The work environment is fast-paced, especially during launches and holiday seasons, which keeps the job engaging. I also appreciated working alongside passionate teammates who genuinely cared about customer service and creating a positive shopping experience.

Cons

Retail schedules can be inconsistent and often include nights, weekends, and holidays. During peak periods, the store can become extremely busy, which can be stressful when balancing customer service expectations with operational tasks. Advancement opportunities can vary depending on store location and management structure.
