Pros

After many years service with the NFU starting in a local office junior role eventually up to a National Management role I can genuinely say the NFU was a great organisation to work for. I always felt valued, encouraged throughout in the challenging times as well as the good times. Recognises family demands and considerate within a fair framework. Customer focussed (internally as well as externally) An organisation with great history but an organisation that has evolved to move with the times and never complacent. A team ethic in its DNA. Fairly rewarded financially, but more importantly a rewarding place to work - which is priceless. Going home feeling you have made a difference.

Cons

The nature of the work of the NFU, does involve out of core hour working at times dependent on the role. The demands are not unreasonable, but something to be aware of. Management fully understand and are considerate and recognise the importance of a work life balance.
