Pros
In the past five years, I've had very positive experiences across three different stores with the management team being very helpful, friendly and supportive. The store team is the best part about working for Next and they seem to attract lovely employees. In the course of my time at Next I have been encouraged to expand my experience and responsibilities in my job role, such as visual merchandising, admin tasks and online return processes. I would recommend this job to anyone who is interested in retail as you gain a wealth of knowledge and practice in customer service.
Cons
The only cons for me are recently the incapability's by Head Office with the launch of their year old employee portal. This has caused no end of issues while working at Next this past year, such as payroll issues, inability to see an online rota and issues with booking holidays. Head Office have acknowledged the problems but insufficient support and guidance with their retail store staff I feel. This is the main reason I am soon to be leaving my lovely team at Next as I don't appreciate my payslips being wrong.
