Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. We’re glad you enjoyed the dog-friendly office (us too!), our weekly Brown Bag Lunches, and your coworkers and leaders. Call us biased, but we’d say we have some of the most passionate people around. With over 80 nationalities on the team, our people have come from all over to build a bank the world loves to use. We see the entrepreneurial spirit alive across the business, from those with Banking & Finance backgrounds, to Product and Technology - and all others too. We work closely with a number of salary experts, as well as the local markets we operate in, to ensure we are fully competitive in how we pay our staff. Our approach to compensation and benefits is driven to provide fair reward for every role. Ensuring that we can offer our employees opportunities for internal growth and development - both through our bi-annual promotion cycle or structured internal recruitment process - is something which is extremely important to us. Our Recruitment team is committed to hiring the best talent, which is why for the majority of our roles candidates are expected to interview with 4-5 stakeholders. We do this to understand their complete skills and ability, and for the candidate to understand the challenges of the role they are applying for. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience with us. Our door is always open if you’d like to discuss any feedback further.

Pros

Small team in NYC working on bringing N26 to the US. Flat team structure (no bureaucracy or painful hierarchies). Open lines of communication and instant feedback loops. Everyone is extremely smart and driven towards a common goal, and we also enjoy each other's company both in and out of the office. There's also respect for having a life outside of work and a good sense of balance. Huge opportunity to take on as much work as you can handle and drive your own workstreams and outputs. I've found that my scope of responsibilities is quite large, and since joining, I've broadened my skill-set significantly in areas I wanted to expand upon.

Cons

Coordination with Berlin can be difficult at times given time zones and hypergrowth there. Nonetheless, people always are willing to help out and make themselves available when needed. Small team size as of now means fewer hands to help with all that needs to get done. That said - plenty of opportunity for new joiners to take on key tasks and responsibilities as we continue to grow the team
