Pros
- Impossibly well curated team; always friendly, no drama, everyone has everyone's back. I've worked in similar sorts of companies and never encountered such a holistically brilliant team. Easily the best bit. - (double edge sword) Strong growth culture: they're deadly serious about growth, it's not just a corporate ritual. Can be quite exhausting at times. - Great problem space: loads of real-impact potential in what's being designed and headroom to work on pretty novel stuff - Managed maturely: never had a 'toxic experience' and degree of management excellent is high given small size/age of company
Cons
- Can be excessively layered and bureaucratic: change takes longer to push than perhaps befits a such a small company with low-volume B2B products, can be frustrating and stifle creativity unless you've got loads of energy to push back. Degree of separation between most people and leadership is large given workforce size, too. - Very lean workforce, hours can be long: definitely not a place for clock-in-clock-out types. Culture of presenteeism is minimal, but goals are always extremely ambitious and hours can be extended by large proportion of customer base being in US. - Spaces are physically cramped: frustrates the hands on work of an engineer, causes clutter issues, and can hurt the psyche sometimes
