Pros
From the moment I started my position, the CEO (2022) asked to individually to meet with me, get to know me, and help me plan for my current and future goals. The leadership and agency itself is the most inclusive workplace. Although there are multiple locations, I never felt disconnected from co-workers. They valued growth and continuing to learn more about real-time changes in the mental health/substance use/domestic violence worlds. To this day, I encourage individuals who want to work in substance use or domestic violence services that this employer would be a recommendation.
Cons
Due to the nature of my work, it was grant funded and once the grant ran out, I needed to find a full-time position. For personal reasons, I had to leave this position.
