Good company, but not as a conservative / moderate - Anonymous employee Mud Bay Employee Review

I would definitely say if you are a conservative or moderate, (a.k.a don’t like to think like everyone else), then don’t bother unless you can keep your mouth shut. I would normally say that politics shouldn’t or doesn’t matter especially in a work place. But the last year has been a disaster and there is no room for opposing opinions or views without backlash. At least at my store, no one knows where I stand because I don’t talk about it. Why? Because I am scared. Scared to voice my own opinion, (like they are able to), without being bullied, judged, or being called a “racist” for the single reason of disagreeing about something that has nothing to do with race. The coworkers will act like they support with what you say only to end up going behind your back & talking bad about you, then you will be completely left out, now not just mentally but physically. Nothing is wrong with anyone’s opinions but you shouldn’t have to endure bullying in order for freedom of speech. This has had a very huge impact on my work experience. So much so that I felt uncomfortable to work there for the last year.
