Pros

- good company to have on resume - secure entry to office (they still get a lot of people harassing them because they're feminist, believe it or not) - located close to Rodeo Drive (if that's of interest to you) - free parking - they get a lot of review copies so you get an opportunity to read awesome feminist books - opportunity to attend amazing feminist events - opportunity to interview awesome women who are changing to society - if you devote yourself entirely to this internship, you could get a lot of published work and experience to add to your CV and maybe a professional reference

Cons

Although they try very hard to prove otherwise, I found this work environment to be the very epitome of White Feminism and the women who work there have no problem snapping at you. The magazine itself is AMAZING, the issue is with the experience of working at their Beverly Hills office. Yet I wouldn't say the cons are enough to stop someone from having your name be a part of such a remarkable publication...just don't go in expecting the office to be the intersectional feminist heaven you may be imagining.
