Pros

MoiveTickets.com was a startup with potential.I worked there about 3 years around 2010. The CTO Shane was a very skilled developer along with a great team of developers and some great people.

Cons

The overall business of movietickets is challenging to succeed in especially when going up against giants like Fandango.

Pros

Casual work environment with flexible hours. Very open to the need to balance work and family. CEO cares about employees. Small enough company that there are no politics. Everyone has access to the CEO. No place is 100% perfect but it is pretty darn good here and if employees don't recognize that - too bad for them - go someplace else and see how good you have it. Great 401K and very good benefits.

Cons

Everyone has access to CEO and they expect him to solve their problems. Employees need to learn how to talk to each other and work as a team with one common goal and set personal goals aside.

Pros

Lots of freedom no oversight. Lots of good people. Employee sponsored 3% 401K contribution. Casual attire environment.

Cons

It is all a facade, Get out ASAP! Want to give you all a heads up as I left behind several good people. Last month a company Google alert went out that I just had a chance to read. It was a wall street article stating the company is in the process of being liquidated by parent company Hollywood Media. They are selling & I would not wait till that happens as they may want to make the financials look more attractive by cutting the budget that matters most, which is employees & salaries. Remember they are cheap cheap cheap & all about lining their pockets at your expense while smiling & calling you family. Executive team alienated staff by communicating to only a select few. While it did not directly affect me it did indirectly as it sowed confusion & disorder that according to my sources still exists. If you are not one of the favorites, which never meant proficient or adept, start planning your exit before its too late. Lower than average wages & raises, no year-end bonuses while the CEO drives around in his choice of 2 exotic cars, a Lamborgini & a Porsche!. Even if takes a couple of years to sell I advise putting yourself first.
