Pros

You work on a product to help you keep living better while be encouraged to do the same with “office workouts” and flexible hours to get your Active Minutes in.

Cons

It’s a startup, so you need to be prepared for startup culture.

Pros

Weekly catered lunch. Legitimately awesome coworkers. Pretty damn good coffee. A fridge consistently stocked with salami, various cheeses, and things to make delicious sandwiches with. A product with serious potential. Head of engineering has his head screwed on straight, and seems to legitimately want to mentor people, and bring them to the next level. Unfortunately, there are hidden politics (I was told at one point to CC: "everyone" to make sure I had a paper trail). Super smart people on the various teams.

Cons

The usual startup BS. CEO is growth, growth, growth, sales, sales, sales. The manufacturing line can't keep up with current demand, which leads to support nightmare situations, and constant customer complaints about out of stock colors and sizes, issues with firmware updates, and feature requests that are largely ignored. If the company would literally just tap the brakes for a second, they would likely be able to capitalize on being the first 2FA-enabled "smart ring" on the market, but as of this moment, it's layoffs, reorganization, and making sure the blinders are on properly. Meetings about planning meetings to plan meetings. Teams that want to communicate with each other, but are stymied at every attempt. Chain of command is nebulous at best.
