Pros

Great culture. Great employees. Practices what they preach for safety. Won’t throw you to wolves and let you fail. Management buys into culture. Great work life balance as far as rotation schedule. Room to progress in career.

Cons

Below average pay for position in my personal industry. Although rotation schedule is great, there is no real way to disconnect for that week without putting project and yourself in a bad spot. Equal positions in other divisions within the company pay significantly more, with equal or less workload, significantly less time working away from home, and in most cases less hours. The Perdiem is to cover living expenses, but there has to be a monetary value associated with being away from family for long periods of time. Most of the additional benefits are more focused on engineer roles. No hate whatsoever towards them as they are often overworked.

Pros

- Huge company with a lot of resources. - Cool projects.

Cons

- Pay is not great especially for the amount of hours they want you to put in. - They do not pay for experience. So, it’s a good place to start, but if you have experience, go somewhere else. - They hire and promote way too quickly which means inexperienced people are in charge. - If you work in the field, you will be putting in 50-60 hours a week often and they justify it by saying you get subsistence. Do the math, you’re not getting paid very well at those hours even with subsistence. Also subsistence is a benefit for traveling, not justification for overusing employees. - While a lot of the people are good, it is a very political atmosphere.
