Pros
Female owned and operated business
Cons
Despite any potential to undo or disrupt the paradigm set forth by the fashion industry, my experience working for the corporate office was disheartening, disengaging, and down right debilitating. Micromanagement is the name of the game. The propensity toward both fear-mongering and aggressive (can there be another way?) authoritarianism left one feeling as though there was no room to breathe let alone work. Every movement was monitored and every action criticized. Enthusiasm engendered by the founder was squashed by upper management, the representatives of which operate out of perpetual fear of being usurped or undermined. If one could endure all of that, be mindful of the racist and classist rhetoric spewed toward the cutting and production team.
