Pros
Great teams across the globe. Has / Had great potential.
Cons
Monetate used to be a genuinely great place to work. The previous CEO and ELT created a team that felt connected, supported, and focused on one thing: keeping customers happy. People worked hard, had fun, and felt valued. Even when mistakes happened, the culture stayed positive because staff wellbeing and customer satisfaction actually mattered. That’s changed. Under the new CEO, the focus has shifted firmly to profit over people. The atmosphere is tense. What once felt like a single team now feels like isolated groups looking over their shoulders and waiting for the next round of redundancies or resignations. Morale has dropped fast as has trust in leadership. The competitor acquisition initially looked promising, but it has played out more like a takeover of Monetate. Long-standing employees have lost their jobs, and the ways of working that made the company successful have been replaced by SiteSpect’s systems and structure. Structure and jobs have been rebuilt and reassigned multiple times, with no regard for employees careers or development. Maybe things will settle in a year or so and the company will find its feet again.
