Meet Sports Icons, Good discount. Every once in a while get tickets to local games. Good hours. Most stores have been remodeled and better selection.
Cons
All raises have been frozen for the past 2 years and was told none will be given. Benefit package is way too expensive. Since remodeling, upper management has put too unncessary stress on lower management and staff. Christmas bonus program has been axed for lower management and staff. Was told when I was hired Modells would make the top 100 companies to work for if it was a public company but never have seen why. Way too many programs and quotas that are to be made on a weekly basis. Cashiers must ask each customer way too many questions before checking out. Whenever giving feedback to corporate, it must be positive even if it isn't. They don't want to hear anything negative. They cut payroll to the bare minimum and even to the point where there isn't enough floor converage and the manager on duty has to cover mutiple departments but all the company preaches is customer service.
