Pros

The people who work at MissionWired are passionate about making the world a better place. It feels amazing to work somewhere that has values that align not only with the clients but also with my own. The result is a feeling of being a part of a holistic cause that is about more than just getting a paycheck. The company also really puts their money where their mouth is in terms of internal values, too, not just championing progressive causes externally, but also valuing workers with policies and resources accordingly.

Cons

The work can be emotionally taxing because we deal with causes that are critically important to the current political climate. We feel the highs and lows of the political cycle, which means we are emotionally invested in the good and bad outcomes of politics. This also means we tend to be busier during critical election periods. This also can be inspiring and so worthwhile when it feels like we've made an impact, but it is a reality of the work.

Pros

Great people at the same level. They tend stick together because they get the work you are doing.

Cons

Lack of communication is a big con. It shows when bonuses are cut to nothing and they blame the new union for advocating for higher wages. This should not be a correlation.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us. We know how important transparency around compensation and benefits is, and we’ve worked hard this year to make those areas clearer for our team. We’ve introduced updated pay bands and clearer guidelines on promotions and bonuses, and we’ve made sure everyone knows exactly when to expect compensation reviews. We’re also focused on offering competitive benefits, like expanded paid time off, to ensure our team feels supported both at work and outside of it. Decisions on compensation are complex and these pieces are just part of a broader effort to ensure a sustainable financial structure. That includes the recent decision to emphasize base compensation for junior level roles over variable bonus, providing more clarity on expected compensation for our team members. We’re continuing to listen and refine our communications to ensure our offerings meet the needs of our team, and are committed to ensuring that everyone understands how these elements fit together.
