Pros

I can't honestly can't think of anything that is positive about this organization. Most companies give employees little trinkets. Water bottles, pens etc...very very cheap.

Cons

I worked there in an except position and was terminated within 90 days for saying 'damn' to my computer screen. I was shocked by the lack of integrity that this organization has. They recruited me and I spent a very large amount of money relocating, not to mention a pay cut. The salary is way below average. I would not recommend employment at this healthcare system. It is far less than a professional atmosphere. They actually said that they made a ton of money and gave their employees a $100 bonus. Wow! Where I came from we received $700-900 depending on their yearly earnings.

Pros

Great nurses, resilient community, many leadership growth opportunities, large hospital with many specialties, the only level 1 trauma center in WNC.

Cons

The hours are very challenging. often 5am to 6pm M-F. No additional compensation for extra hours, nights, or on-call weekends. You must love the work, and have minimal need for work-life balance to enjoy working here.
