Pros
I’ve worked at mindsight for a few years, and I can confidently say it is a special place where their commitment to producing high-quality work is only matched by their genuine care for their people. At mindsight, continuous improvement isn’t just a goal; it’s a fundamental part of each day. Leaders in the company prioritize regularly providing and supporting learning opportunities for its employees. In some research companies, only senior-level researchers would be client-facing and work on more complex studies. At mindsight, you are given that opportunity sooner and can build your skills faster. It’s a place that truly is what you make of it; you will be successful at mindsight if you come in ready to learn, apply yourself, collaborate with others, and show a genuine commitment to your growth and development, you will be successful. Mindsight also doesn’t believe that the path you start in is the one you’re stuck in. I’ve seen many people pivot to pursue other paths that complement their strengths and interests and be successful in those roles. I have never worked at a place that had so much faith in what I could achieve and allowed me to build my path. It hasn’t come without challenges while learning along the way, but I know that those moments have allowed me to grow professionally and personally. A lot of people who join mindsight often say that one of their favorite things about working here are the people. Even with teams across different states, mindsight makes connection and relationship-building a top priority by getting the team together, creating ways to build relationships virtually, etc. The camaraderie here is strong, making every day at work both productive and enjoyable. I know this team has my back and I have theirs. In short, mindsightt is a dynamic, supportive place where quality, improvement, and fun meet. If you’re looking to grow in your research career, this is the place to be. I’m grateful to be a part of it.
Cons
As I mentioned in my positive remarks, this is a place where commitment gets you far. The nature of this kind of work is fast-moving and requires you to buckle down from time to time, and be open to changing and evolving to stay competitive. That's not for everyone.
