Pros
The best reasons to work at Mindboard is the leader, Vinay, and many of the staff, who are awesome, talented, hard-working, genuine, and great to work with. Vinay is a sincere, authentic leader, and despite my overall review, I have confidence that if he remedies some of the shortfalls noted, Mindboard will be a huge success.
Cons
Mindboard is relatively new, small, and lacks the infrastructure, processes, resources, and methodology to be highly-efficient and effective. Currently, CMMi level 1 across the board. One of the leaders and many of the staff came from an Ohio firm that went bankrupt; processes that were ill-conceived or out-of date a couple years ago are still in use today. As a fledgling firm, expect no formal training, PMO, career paths, performance management, onboarding, or expectation-setting from managers, some of whom appear floundering, stressed-out, and reactive. Pay was below average, (I took it as the project had a five minute commute, versus other opportunities requiring travel or longer commutes). There is a spoken expectation that you should work anytime managers want you to, even answering e-mails at 11:30 at night, or staying on client site 12 hours.
