Pros
It is a large international company and so there is opportunity across the country for jobs.
Cons
This is a very "Corporate" type business meaning NON-PERSONAL. The regional managers tend to only last about a year on average in their position before leaving the company. That is because of the stress caused by the yo-yo's sitting behind a desk in Chicago telling their subordinates that they are doing everything wrong. This of course trickles all the way down the food chain. Managers beware. For two years I successfully ran one of the busiest shops in San Diego (One of Midas' better markets) and my salary was still some $20K short of what their job listing promised. My time at Midas was so thoroughly unenjoyable that I cringe whenever I drive by any Midas repair shop - AND I changed my industry after being in it for 10 years..
