- Career ladders to give young engineers a guide/path to progress towards - Follows good software practices - Good people to learn from - Hard to get sacked once you pass probation
Cons
- At times very bureaucratic, one tech lead will say one thing and the other will say another on how things should be done - Conflict management is poorly dealt with - You can be pulling other people's weight but be seen as a nuisance if you raise it with management - Low salaries for the role, CEO caps annual pay rises by 10% which does not scale if you're starting out vs someone who is already high up - Not consistent with their recruitment practices, doesn't give technical tests for Lead roles or higher - There is favouritism among people
