Pros

Like any office, some of the people are nice.

Cons

First and foremost, it’s a company that takes advantage of the unemployed. Don’t let them fool you in the interview; you’ll be telemarketing. It’s an aggressive cold-calling sales culture where the sales team pushes people into training that doesn’t fit them, and screws them out of government money that could have helped them get a job. They make it seem like they’re a community based organization, but it’s all about $$. The CEO has terrible people skills. He’s awkward, rude, egotistical, and paranoid.

We have helped thousands of clients over 20 years achieve employment through certifications, training, and career services. Many clients don't come out of pocket for their training and certifications. We think that's a good thing. There are no student loans at Microtrain. We are a small company of 35-40 with many employees that have been here over 10 years. We are one of the best at what we do, give us a chance to spend time with you at work.

Pros

MicroTrain is a great company to work for! I have worked for MicroTrain for 7 years and have the least seniority of all of my colleague's in the same role. There are several reasons why people stay. My co-workers and direct supervisor are the absolute best. They are very supportive, caring, and just overall fun to be around. They are always striving to help me become the best version of myself both personally and professionally. Additionally, the work we do is very rewarding. We get to serve those out of work by helping them reach their career goals as well as those who may be employed but looking to advance their careers. The staff truly has their clients best interest in mind and are the some of the most knowledgeable and experienced in the industry. Employees are supported in their pursuit of work related training as well. Furthermore, management is very accessible as well as understanding and supportive of a work life balance.

Cons

MicroTrain is a small company so there isn't a lot of room for advancement and the company benefits do not increase with length of service.
