Pros
The best part of the job was definitely being able to help all the homeless animals that come to the shelter. You know you are making a huge impact in their lives and through all the programs that are offered, they are likely to find their forever homes.
Cons
This shelter is not for people that are able to think independently and want to challenge the status quo. Although there are many people that do a good job, they are very few and spread very thin. Most of the people that work there are only looking out for themselves and do not look fondly on others that try to improve the way things operate. The best way to survive in this environment is to do your job and just do what you're told, which is not for everyone.
