Pros
They Type you in B-737 as required by Part 117. GREAT place to fly if under the new Latino chief pilot, otherwise life can be really miserable. Because of continuous losses of veteran pilots getting real flying jobs, they start using check ride failure as a mean of pilot retention preventing them to apply elsewhere. Be extremely skeptical of initial promises and positive projections. Good place if you have only 1500hours and just starting your flying career otherwise you can do easily MUCH better elsewhere.
Cons
3 year Training contract instead of the standard 1 or 2. Management often taking hostile stand toward Pilots trying to improve quality of life and pay which is one of the LOWEST in the industry. EXTREMELY "political" environment, having the few selected pilots doing very well with good trips and extra pay at the expense of the rest. Can become very frustrating also because the IBT Union is totally powerless. They are just good on deducting their monthly dues, no much else. New contract on the way but focused to improve conditions for Captains; First Officers are just considered "seat warmers" and replaceable NOT as "Captain in training". Very humiliating at times. Let's not mention the Bonus policies. Management get 100% of their yearly salary while the rest only crumbs. And no means to even verify the real profit amount since is still a "privately owned" company not required to disclose their books. Good luck.
