Pros
$16 per hour isn't horrible if you have a spouse with an income. There are many customers that hate to leave Metronet if there are moving and we don't service new location. There are some nice employees and customers you can meet.
Cons
A LOT. they have commissioned and non commissioned associates working which is a receipe for animosity. Some get more sales calls (non commissioned) which is not fair to commissioned reps. The communication between departments is horrid. Dispatch can be very unhelpful when trying to schedule a customer due to an outage and speaking of which, Metronet as many outages feels like everyday. RETAIL SALES ASSOCIATES do everything from selling, billing, repair, customer service, construction calls ( very stressful) and the list goes on. They expect you to sell in addition to doing everything else which is pretty crazy expectation. The change things everyday and then put on on blast when you make a mistake. Training is a joke. Its a learn as you go type of job. PTO is really bad. They don't seperate sick time or pto. So if your sick you are using your vacation pay. There are many more things they need to improve on. It's not the best choice more like the last resort.
