Pros

Hands down some of the best people I've ever worked with across the globe. Atmosphere is relatively relaxed and in most cases employees are trusted to accomplish their work without having to account for every second in their day.

Cons

Private Equity ownership has destroyed a great company. Peppered with weak leadership at the senior level and questionable strategic direction I'm not sure they will be able to survive long term. Platinum only cares about the bottom line and as a result project planning, quoting, capital management, and human and intellectual capital all suffer. Some of the best and the brightest have churned through the doors and are either run out or leave because they aren't given the support necessary to be successful.

I read through all of the previous reviews. All i saw was a lot of entitled disgruntled employees pointing fingers. "Management", doesn't control the laziness of temps but they do encourage and reward good ones. This is a company that hires on for a very respectable rate inside the plants. I've work many a factory jobs (Bentler, Foamcraft, Wabash, Lippert, KIK, etc) and none of them started over $10/hr with worse conditions and riskier jobs. MetoKote starts with higher pay and better benefits. "MetoKote needs to take care of new employee's they are the future of the company." It would be insane to give a new, untested, employee bonuses. Far to many come, get a paycheck, and leave. This is entitlement at it's worst, prove your value before you expect to be rewarded. MetoKote does have great programs in place. You can earn an additional week of paid vacation every year just by having good attendance. Additionally, MetoKotes hourly bonus plan is, "To qualify you must be active, full-time employee on the last day of the bonus period." New employees are eligible unless they have grossly neglected to perform their duties. "Ability to move up if you are the right color/gender." The implication of racism and sexism is unfounded. I can quickly look around and see Hispanic, African American, Caucasian, Russian, Male, and Female all in leadership positions. Those who work hard advance, those who don't stay put.

Cons

Have to cross the railroad tracks to get to work. and 3 lights! they are sometimes red.
