Great Place to Work - Occupational Therapist Methodist Rehabilitation Center Employee Review

Pros

I absolutely loved the people I worked with. This is a local non-profit...although somewhat large for an inpatient rehab facility, it still felt like a small/family-oriented business in many ways. It's a wonderful place for a new grad to work in order to learn from more experienced therapists. There is a good focus on education with a decent budget (although with Covid, virtual learning may be taking precedent). Productivity requirements range from 75%-80%, although there have been times that you may work 100%+, such as some weekends and around holidays.

Cons

-This facility is known for one-on-one, high-quality patient care, but when they feel the pressure of keeping up with other facilities in the region/nation, they will make changes try to increase productivity. These changes can be swift and stressful. But luckily if you wait long enough, even the administrators recognize that the quality over quantity is what they have over the the other facilities, and they usually return to their original practices -there is room for more competitive pay

Pros

I'm not a clinician, so that experience may be very different. I work in a support role. And the experience has been pretty good.

Cons

Not many cons except for little autonomy over your work.
