Pros

I have worked at Methodist Dallas for over 14 years in Critical Care. This is by far the best place to work as a nurse. The enviroment is family oriented and team oriented. The opportunities for advancement are endless! They have programs that help build leaders from within. Even though I have moved farther away from Dallas I still commute to work with the best team in the Metroplex. I've been able to advance my degree with their tuition reimbursement program Tuition Reimbursement Program Strive for excellence everyday Employee Assistance Programs Managers who care about there employees

Pros

Coming from a smaller size hospital but big company like Methodist and known high paying hospital in DFW, I needed more shifts. Since MDMC is bigger than my other PRN, I have higher chance of getting shifts because there are more monitoring stations, more staff taking PTOs, higher chance of staff calling out sick and therefore opening the shift, etc.

Cons

More workload and higher census! Almost 50 patients on heart monitor per station.
