Pros
The work feels good and the work culture is great. This is the first time I've felt like I was friends with my co-workers, not just people that I see in the office. Questions are truly encouraged, unlike traditional corporate culture of "ask questions, but not really". I appreciate the level of candidness I can have with my manager and even director. They welcome direct and honest feedback about works and what doesn't, and will always be open to trying a better solution. This company properly respects its employees, regardless of age. You are not looked down or deemed incompetent just because you're young. If you're hungry, ambitious, and ready to do your best work, Metergy rewards that tenacity. If you are someone who prefers to keep the status quo, you say "no, this won't work" or "no, that's impossible", or you'd like to keep your head down and never innovate, this company is not for you. Career growth is strongly encouraged as well. There are lots of opportunities to move internally, and if you're interested in taking additional courses outside of work, Metergy strong supports that interest, financially and culturally.
Cons
In my opinion, Metergy suffers from success. They are expanding and the growth is exponential. However, a lot of legacy processes are cracking under the weight of growth, and more work needs to be done to sustain the growth while maintaining service delivery to clients. Based on conversations I've had with other colleagues, there seems to be a collective agreement that this needs to improve.
