Pros

- Pay is good-ish. - You can actually touch some low-level technical stuff.

Cons

- Friendly arrogance. Some people in the team have too much power of speech that they are essentially enforcing what they like, for example, monorepo, weird git branch management. - Messy management. There used to be really good coworkers but unfortunately they all left. Don't be surprised if you hear someone's last day is this Friday, and you know that poor person has made outstanding contribution to the company. - Although people are distributed across the Americas, you are still expected to match Pacific Time. The boss sometimes bothers you at your dinner time, although they claim to be remote-friendly.

Pros

The company is coming into its own. The product has arrived, the market is huge and the GTM motion is maturing quickly. The team has a good culture and the company values of "Ambition" and "Kindness" are embodied by most. The opportunity at Meter is to improve the networking industry for the better. There is a quickly growing chance that Meter will succeed.

Cons

As the business grows, there is room for operational excellence to improve. You won't find a quickly growing company that doesn't struggle with this. Luckily, Meter is working quickly to improve in this area.

Pros

- Meter has an audacious goal to take over an industry that needs a new model, and the real potential to succeed in doing so. I let this promise cloud my judgement when it should have been clear early on that my baseline expectations were falsely aligned - Its customer base is largely happy and scaling rapidly - Highly intelligent employees on every team, no passengers

Cons

- Success and service teams are critically understaffed and under-tooled. - New-hire onboarding is bare minimum, there is no ongoing enablement - Feedback is cryptic, if provided - There is little camaraderie or culture, senior leadership is mute where they should be unifying the company
