Pros

1) The work environment is safe. No nonsense is tolerated. The office space is nice and is located right across the street from the # 1 train and a short walk to the #4 and #5 train at Bowling Green station. 2) CEO is very accomplished and well known in many circles. And the upper management team is highly competent. 3) The organization has grown significantly over the last five years. 4) Intelligent and reasonable coworkers. 5) The work is challenging and you receive opportunities to demonstrate your competence. Management tries very hard to promote from within. 6) IT department is very good. 7) HR department tries to be fair with everyone. 8) The organization does the best it can to assist ALL people in need. 9) Ample vacation.

Cons

The pace of work can be hectic at times. This can be overwhelming.

Pros

What I value most about working with Met Council is its strong mission to support those in need, the company’s dedication to employee engagement, and its excellent work-life balance. Additionally, management's consistent focus on improvement—whether it's optimizing work processes or finding new ways to better serve both employees and clients—creates a positive and forward-thinking environment. It's inspiring to be part of an organization that constantly strives for better outcomes in every aspect of its operations.

Cons

While Met Council does an excellent job connecting colleagues from different locations during the annual staff retreat, I believe it would be beneficial to have more frequent opportunities to meet and collaborate with team members from other locations throughout the year. Expanding these interactions could foster stronger relationships, improve cross-location collaboration, and enhance the sense of unity within the organization. More regular networking or team-building events could be a valuable addition.
