Pros
I worked at Merriam Music from 2010 to 2015. I absolutely loved working there. I developed lifelong friendships, and developed great relationships with the customers/clients. I loved that I was working in the music industry and I firmly believed in the principles that drove the store: Providing a one of a kind and vibrant culture for musicians and music students. My position was fairly unique (a blend of 2 positions), but I was given the opportunity to work in a multitude of departments and was given as much leeway or guidance as I could ask for. The senior management team is exciting, innovative and passionate and I genuinely looked forward to interacting with them on a daily basis. If I had not uprooted to be with family in BC, I would like to think I would still be working at Merriam.
