A new beginning - Systems Administrator Mergon Employee Review

My experience in Mergon, started the 7th of November 2022. It was one of the last days of sunshine before the cold winter. I was coming from a completely different environment with a completely different background; therefore, I was way out my comfort zone, and I thought that I would never pass never mind the first month… but the first two weeks. I was wrong. I’ve been “cruised” by a wonderful team that helped me facing the unknown and I felt “safe” because, no matter what, I had back-up. It helped my self-confidence the fact that the people in Mergon, have always been kind and understanding to me. I felt like being in a large family since the very beginning. Even within the I.T. team, although very focused on the technical ends of the things, the atmosphere is relaxed and the spirit of “being there for each other” is the real drive. I was astonished, but to be honest also very pleased, when happened that the team had to take some decisions and, not only I was involved into the process but also my voice has been heard. I am going to work every day with a smile on my face and it does not happen to most people. I am still going through a steep learning curve and there is still a lot to learn, but it is becoming a little easier every day. I cannot be grateful enough to the I.T. team that have trusted in my skills [which I did forget to have] and the whole organization to allow me to be gratified every day.
