Pros
There are few pros about Mercer. I genuinely can not think of anything that stands out. The process to tenure is easy and is rarely challenged.
Cons
Mercer staff rarely do their jobs, you can go for months without getting an email reply or a phone call if you have a question. The Administration does not respect faculty or staff. The pay is low, which wasn't so bad when our benefits were free, now we pay for our benefits too. The facilities are horrendous, they manage their money poorly and are always scrambling to figure out how to cut something out to pay for something new.
