Decent Culture, hard to advance or make more - Physician Practice Manager Memorial Hermann Health System Employee Review

Pros

The medical group is really trying to develop a good culture, and most of the people you work with are really great, They are fairly flexible for this position, and you have some freedom to work from home or remotely when needed.

Cons

There is too much work to be done, and the upper leaders just shove it all down to the front line managers and their staff to do. Its very overwhelming and a lot of upper leadership is EXTREMELY out of touch with what the front line staff do or need. With the recent transition to Epic it was a nightmare to say the least and the organization was grossly unprepared mainly the IT department which put an incredible amount of stress and work on front line leaders.

Pros

Quality care. Patient focused. Room for growth depending on skill but sometimes based on who you know which is a con. Lots of great providers who really care.

Cons

A lot of politics and favortism. People get promoted in leadership that don't deserve it which makes for a miserable experience for those working with them . Some senior leaders are disrespectful, overly demanding, disregard others time and effort, manipulative, aggressive, belittling, don't understand the workload of others, inflict punishment based on their feelings or because they want to, do things for their own benefit and are dishonest.
