Pros
Flexible scheduling with the optioion of a 4 day workweek (12hr). The pay is slightly above average. You are given the option of taking benefits or you can opt out for a higher wage. There are interventions in place that that provide job security.
Cons
Techs are usually always short staffed. There is no set protocol in these situations. You are assisting several nurses who all expect something different of you. It can be a very high stress position. Techs are floated regularly. The role and job description changes based on the unit, the shift, and your nurses. The patient's rights are not always respected and administration does little to address or improve the issue.
